ARYA & EARTH — Return & Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Arya & Earth, we take immense pride in crafting handmade products with care and quality. Because our products are handmade and often heavy in nature, our return and refund process reflects the time, effort, and cost involved. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.


2. Return Eligibility

2.1 Products We Accept Returns For We accept returns for both defective and non-defective products, subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.

2.2 Product Condition Returns are accepted for new, unused products only. Items must be returned in their original condition, with all original packaging intact.

2.3 Return Window All return requests must be initiated within 30 days of the date of delivery.


3. Defective or Damaged Items

⚠️ IMPORTANT — 48-Hour Reporting Requirement

If you receive a defective or damaged item, you MUST notify us within 48 hours of delivery. 

To report a defective or damaged item, please contact us immediately and provide all of the following:

  • Your order number and full name
  • A clear written description of the defect or damage
  • Minimum 2 photographs clearly showing the defect or damage
  • A video walkthrough of the item demonstrating the defect

4. Change of Mind Returns

We understand that sometimes a product may not be the right fit. We do accept change-of-mind returns under the following conditions:

  • The return request is made within 30 days of delivery
  • The item is unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging
  • The customer arranges and bears all return shipping costs
  • A restocking fee of AUD $150 applies to all non-defective returns

Given the handmade and heavy nature of our products, the restocking fee reflects the significant costs of inspection, repackaging, and handling upon return.


5. Exchanges

We do not offer product exchanges. If you wish to receive a different item, please initiate a return (subject to the conditions above) and place a new order separately.


6. Return Method & Process

6.1 How to Return All returns must be dropped off at our designated return location. We do not offer home pickup for returned items. Please contact us at the time of your return request to receive the drop-off address and further instructions.

6.2 Return Steps

  • Step 1: Contact us within the applicable window (48 hours for defects, 30 days for change of mind)
  • Step 2: Submit all required evidence (photos and video) via email or our contact form
  • Step 3: Await approval confirmation from our team before sending any item back
  • Step 4: Drop off the item at the designated return location
  • Step 5: Once received, our team will inspect the product and notify you of the outcome

7. Refund Process & Conditions

⚠️ Inspection Required Before Any Refund

All refunds are processed only after the returned item has been physically received and thoroughly inspected by our team. 

Once we receive your returned item, our team will inspect it for:

  • Overall condition and signs of use
  • Original packaging integrity
  • Presence of the reported defect (for defective claims)
  • Any damage that may have occurred after delivery

7.1 Approved Refunds If the returned item passes inspection and meets our return conditions, a refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5 business days of approval.

7.2 Partial or Discretionary Refunds

If the returned item is found to be in a condition that does not meet our return standards, including but not limited to signs of use, missing packaging, additional damage, or failure to meet the stated return criteria, the refund amount will be at the sole discretion of Arya & Earth. This may include a partial refund, a reduced refund after deductions, or in cases of significant condition issues, no refund at all.

We will communicate our assessment and decision to you in writing. Our determination regarding the condition of returned items is final.


8. Restocking Fee

A restocking fee of AUD $150 applies to all approved non-defective (change of mind) returns. This fee is deducted from the refund amount and reflects the labour-intensive process of inspecting, repackaging, and restoring handmade heavy items to a re-sellable condition. The restocking fee is non-negotiable and will be communicated to the customer prior to return approval.


9. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved following inspection, please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to be processed to your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.


10. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product has a major defect as defined under the ACL, you may be entitled to a remedy regardless of the timeframes stated in this policy. Please contact us to discuss your situation.
